On 29th October, come to CampoReal and watch the live performance of the group:
Tricycle was created in 2001 by Belgian accordionist / pianist Tuur Florizoone. This trio - accordion, bass and soprano saxophone - evokes creativity and imagination.
The search for new possibilities in sound and instruments results in very personal and organic original compositions, spiced with improvisation and interaction. Some call it 'jazz', others 'world' or 'imaginary' ... it is the choice of the one that listens.
The music is a creation of Tricycle energy, comprehensive, visual in nature. Tricycle is targeted at a wide audience, curious and adventurous. The band's original compositions, tinged with nostalgia, evoke the subtle, old stereotypes.
After the release of their debut album 'ORANGE FOR TEA' in December 2004 in Belgium, the group took a major step forward. With over 60 concerts in eight months, they have played at festivals in Jazz and World Music renowned concert halls such as ‘Le Palais des beaux arts' in Brussels, Canada, Brazil, China, France, Germany.
The group received three nominations for the prestigious 'Les octaves de la Musique'(Edition 2005): "Best Jazz Band", "Show / concert of the season" and "Artist of the season."
